First of all, I don't know why C&J doesn't have a higher rating. Our experience with them has been nothing but beyond positive. We got a quote from a few different places to put up side fence/gates at our newly purchased home because there were no side gates. This was back in Feb 2018.
During construction:
The crew was quick, and was obviously very experienced with what they do. They did hit a sprinkler water line and a drain pipe while digging to place the post on one side, but upon calling the office to report the incident, the manager came out, took a look, and had the repairs done right away even though technically, they are not liable since there wasn't enough clearance for them. That already earned them a 5 start in my mind.
NOTE: I don't think any of the maintenance issues below were the result of a bad installation. I think it's just due to natural settling of the gate (esp since it was a double gate), and the change in temperature.
A less than a year later:
During the winter, one of the gates started to settle/shift, and eventually got to a point where the latch was hitting the latch post, and the gate was hard to close. C&J provides a 1 year warranty, but I was lagging, and didn't contact them until months later (after the warranty period). C&J was nice enough to come and make adjustments even though it was passed the warranty period. Adjustments were made, and the latch is not hitting anymore.
A few more months later:
The latch is starting to hit the latch post again, but not as bad. I contacted C&J right away again, not really expecting them to do anything under warranty anymore. To my surprise, they agreed to come out one last time under warranty repair to replace the post that appears to have twisted slightly.
All I can say is WOW. That's great customer service. They are not going to be the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. We would definitely do business with them again, and would highly recommend them to our friends. -

Needed an adjustment to the gate installed with my back fence in March. Called office, sent email with pictures, and scheduled the repair with the QC team. Was fixed today. Good service C&J - thank you Kim and QC team!

This is a follow-up to our previous review.
C&J Fencing installed our fence early last year. Two weeks ago, we noticed there were a number of fence boards which were cracked down the length of the board. We called C&J Fencing to inquire whether the warranty could cover replacement of these fence boards. Janine Hernandez instructed me to send pictures of the damaged fence boards to Quality Control. Within a few days, we received a response from Kim Hammer who indicated any damage to fence boards and boards bowing is not covered under the warranty. However, this time they would replace the damaged boards as a courtesy. Soon after, we were notified that a crew would come by on August 22 between the hours of 10 am - 12 noon. On the specified day, two workers arrived at 9:50 am and graciously replaced all the boards to our complete satisfaction.
We are extremely impressed with the exceptional customer service. Everything was handled in a timely and expedient manner. The employees at C&J Fencing are wonderful to work with and are very professional. Thanks! -

C & J fencing has done two fences for me and a gate. Their prices are fair and their customer service excellent. Their work is tidy and their fences immaculate. I both trust and recommend them.

One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Asked them repeatedly to pick up debris and old fence posts from my property after installing a new fence and fix a broken landscape light. Gave them several opportunities to fix the problem...but they never showed up. I ended up removing the old posts myself after being stood up by them 3 times.
I was then upfront about what I expected as a discount off the invoice for all the cleanup I had to do myself...which they refused. Now they want full payment and even threatened to 'put a lien on my house' if I dont pay the invoice now. Cant wait till my lawyer gets this.
